Questions?
The plain-English version
  • The current extensions are local-first and run only after user action.
  • The current builds do not send page content, screenshots, picked colors, audit results, image lists, reading lists, tab workspaces, browsing history, or settings to A1 Local.
  • Settings, recent samples, picked color history, latest audit data, workspaces, reading-list items, capture preferences, or extension preferences may be stored in browser local extension storage depending on the extension.
  • No current extension loads remote executable code.
  • Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
This summary is for context only. The policy below is the binding version.
01

Scope

This policy covers browser extensions published by A1 Local, including Accessibility Quick Audit, Font Inspector Pro, A1 Color Picker, A1 Map Script Inspector, Performance Snapshot, A1 Full Page Capture, Tab Command Palette, Page Source Plus, HTML Validity Checker, Image Batch Saver, Reverse Image Search Menu, and Reader Mode + Local Reading List.

A separate website privacy policy covers the main A1 Local website, contact forms, analytics, payments, and client services.

02

Data Processed Locally

Depending on the extension and the action you choose, an extension may process the active page URL, page title, visible page content clues, rendered page metadata, computed styles, picked color values, browser timing entries, resource timing entries, active-tab screenshots, image URLs, selected text, tab titles, tab URLs, saved workspace names, saved reading-list items, or extension settings.

This processing happens in your browser for the feature you requested. The current builds do not crawl websites in the background.

03

Data Stored In Your Browser

Some extensions use browser local extension storage for settings and local convenience features.

  • Accessibility Quick Audit may store the latest audit result and settings.
  • Font Inspector Pro may store recent or saved font samples and settings.
  • A1 Color Picker may store recent picked colors, manual color entries, and settings.
  • A1 Color Picker may use a temporary current-tab preview on Firefox after user action when the browser eyedropper API is unavailable.
  • A1 Map Script Inspector stores local settings and supporter state only.
  • Performance Snapshot stores display preferences and supporter state.
  • A1 Full Page Capture stores image-format, filename, scroll-delay, and canvas-limit preferences.
  • Tab Command Palette stores saved workspaces, settings, and supporter state.
  • Page Source Plus stores local settings and supporter state.
  • HTML Validity Checker stores local settings and supporter state.
  • Image Batch Saver stores local filters, download-folder preferences, and supporter state.
  • Reverse Image Search Menu stores enabled search engines and menu preferences.
  • Reader Mode + Local Reading List stores reader display settings, saved items, read/unread state, and supporter state.
04

Data Sharing

The current extension builds do not send scan data, page content, screenshots, picked colors, audit results, font samples, timing data, image lists, saved reading-list items, tab titles, tab URLs, workspaces, browsing history, settings, or supporter state to A1 Local.

Reverse Image Search Menu opens third-party search engines only after your explicit context-menu action. Those searches are handled directly by the selected search engine, not proxied through A1 Local.

If a future paid supporter feature uses a payment provider or account system, this policy will be updated before that feature is released.

05

Permissions

Each extension requests only the permissions needed for its feature set. Common permissions include activeTab for user-triggered current-page access, temporary preview, or capture; scripting for running local scanners, inspectors, or capture helpers; storage for local settings and history; tabs for tab-management features; downloads for selected image downloads; and contextMenus for explicit right-click actions.

06

User-Initiated Exports

Some extensions let you copy a summary, download selected images or screenshots, or export a local file such as JSON, CSV, or Markdown. Those actions are initiated by you, and the resulting content is handled by your browser and device.

07

Changes

We may update this policy as the extensions change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new last-updated date.
